Therapy for Individuals
My primary orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is an intervention that teaches people how to become their own therapist by addressing unhelpful behaviors and thought patterns getting in the way of your mental health or personal goals. It is the intervention with the most scientific evidence behind its effectiveness and can be helpful for depression, anxiety, and a range of other mental health challenges. I am also formally trained in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), another evidence-based intervention specifically for individuals who have experienced multiple traumas throughout their lives.

Therapy for Humanitarians
As a humanitarian myself, with experience working in contexts around the world, I have the lived experience and knowledge of the sector to provide current and past humanitarians with understanding, support, and evidence-based techniques to overcome depression, anxiety, the impact of trauma and chronic stress, as well as moral injury and identity/values confusion.’

Therapy for Couples
I primarily use the work of the Gottman Institute to help couples authentically connect, communicate more effectively, share vulnerabilities, and create stronger, healthier relationships. All couples encounter difficulties from time to time and couples living abroad or physically separated often face unique challenges related to culture, raising families, geographical decisions, and other issues that can truly test even the strongest of relationships.
